About Us
Who We Are
Revert2Reality (R2R) is a dedicated charity that supports individuals who have embraced Islām, known as reverts. For over 30 years, we have been a beacon of guidance and hope, helping new Muslims navigate the complexities of their spiritual journey and integrate seamlessly into the broader Muslim community.
Our Objective
Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing space focused on individuals' mind, body, spiritual, and social well-being. We provide targeted services that address the holistic needs of our community.
Our Vision
People of all backgrounds learn, share, and grow together—bringing the true essence of Islām to humanity.
Our Mission
Revert2Reality addresses these challenges head-on by:
Providing safe, welcoming spaces for learning and community.
Offering personalised mentorship to guide reverts through their spiritual journey.
Delivering comprehensive programs, including educational courses, counselling, and community-building activities.
Establishing supportive networks to help reverts build lasting connections within the Muslim community.
We are not just a charity; we are a lifeline for those who have embraced Islām, ensuring they can fully integrate into their new faith and lead fulfilling, spiritually enriched lives.
Why Revert2Reality Is Essential?
Each year, an estimated 100,000 individuals in the UK embrace Islām. While this spiritual transformation is profound, it often brings significant challenges. New Muslims frequently face:
- Isolation from family and friends.
- Cultural and societal pressures, including Islamophobia.
- Lack of resources to learn about their new faith.
- Difficulty integrating into the Muslim community.
Without proper guidance and support, their initial enthusiasm can lead to confusion and disillusionment, leading some to abandon the faith altogether. A 2017 Pew Research Center survey revealed that a quarter of former Muslims cited difficulties connecting with the religion or disagreeing with its teachings as reasons for leaving. In the UK, the lack of dedicated resources exacerbates this issue, leaving many reverts feeling unsupported and overwhelmed.
